Pointburn is a free-to-play prediction and staking game. You stake virtual gold on the outcome of real-world events — sport, news, entertainment, and more. If you're right, you win a share of the pot. If you're wrong, you lose your stake.
There's also a league system, a forum, and a global leaderboard — so it's as much about community as it is about predictions.
You cannot buy gold, cash it out, or use it for anything outside of Pointburn.

Gold is your main currency on Pointburn. You earn it in two ways:
Gold appears on the global leaderboard and can be used to unlock your profile colour (1,000 gold) and post in the global forum.
Each league has its own separate points economy, independent from your global gold. League points are earned by collecting within the league and winning league games. Each league can give their points a custom name.
League points are tracked on the league's own leaderboard and don't affect your global gold total.
Each game has a question and a set of options. You choose an option and stake some of your gold on it. Once the game closes, no more stakes are accepted.
When the result is confirmed, winners share the total losing pot in proportion to how much they staked. A 5% fee is taken from the losing pot before payouts — this goes to the house.
If a game is voided (e.g. the event didn't happen), all stakes are refunded in full.
If a game is finalised and nobody staked on the winning option, the game is voided and all stakes are returned to the players who entered. Nobody loses gold in this situation.
Go to the Leagues page. From there you can browse existing leagues and join any that are open, or create your own. Creating a league makes you its owner — you can manage settings, run games, and moderate the league forum.
Creating a new topic in the global forum requires a minimum of 1,000 gold. This is to keep the forum quality high and reduce spam. You can still reply to existing topics without any gold requirement.
League forums have no gold requirement — any league member can post.
Go to your Profile page and open Settings. From there you can update your display name, avatar emoji, and profile colour.
Go to your Profile page and open Settings. Scroll to the bottom and you'll find the option to delete your account. You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. This permanently removes your Pointburn profile and login — it cannot be undone.
Note that your past comments and game activity may remain visible in anonymised form.
